Deposit Operations Specialist 1
First Port City Bank is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Deposit Operations Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of our Deposit Operations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our daily operations.
Position Summary:
The Deposit Operations Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day processes within Deposit Operations, becoming proficient in primary and secondary assignments. The ideal candidate will adhere to and always exhibit the “Core Values” of First Port City Bank.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Debit Card Reg E Disputes
- Debit Card Exceptions Management
- Cash Advance Daily Reconciliations
- Check Return Daily Processing (Chargebacks)
- IOTA/IOLTA Reporting and Remittance
- Cross-training for department functions and tasks, including but not limited to Large Item Review, Large Dollar Return Notifications (LDRN)s, Mobile Deposit Review, Wire Transfers In/Out
- Assist in compiling documentation for external audits and regulatory examinations
- Stay in compliance with Bank policies and procedures
- Offer creative input on ways to streamline operational tasks within Deposit Operations
- May be assigned other duties as needed
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Mobile Deposit Daily Review
- Debit Card Fraud Daily Alert Management
- Debit Card Report Daily Review and Processing
- Overdraft Charge-off Monitoring, Correspondence and Reporting
- CDARS/ICS Statements and Notices
- Assist with the creation of Deposit Operations procedures and processes
Role Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ Banking experience; Deposit Operations experience preferred, but not required
- Other Skills and Abilities: Well-rounded Banking knowledge, excellent written and verbal skills, computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel), strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Cash Management Client Specialist
The Cash Management (CM) Client Specialist will serve Business Online Banking Cash Management Clients and will support efforts of First Port City Bank Account and Business Development Officers to onboard new CM Clients. Some travel may be required. Employee is expected to adhere to and always exhibit the “Core Values” of First Port City Bank.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Liaison between First Port City Account and Bank Business Development Officers and Potential Cash Management Clients
· Gather Client Data and Documentation to Facilitate the Initial CM Approval Process
· Prepare and Distribute Cash Management Agreements and CM Product Schedules for Execution
· Perform Cash Management Client System Setup and Manage Existing Client Change Requests
· Perform Initial and Ongoing Client Training for the Various CM Products and Services
· Deliver Excellent Customer Service to Cash Management Clients by Providing Ongoing CM Product and Services Support and Engaging in Needs-based Conversations
· Manage Risks by Adhering to Compliance Routines, Processes, and Controls to Protect Client and Shareholder Interests while Assisting Clients to Complete Transactions and Navigate Cash Management Systems
· Contribute to Team Sales Results by Listening and Spotting Opportunities to Offer Additional Products and Services, Introducing Clients to FPCB Merchant Services Providers or FPCB Lenders
· Assist With Periodic RDC, ACH and Wire Limit Increase Requests
· Stay in compliance with Bank policies and procedures
· May be assigned other duties as needed
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
· High School Diploma
Experience
· Minimum 2 years Banking experience
· Cash/Treasury Management experience preferred, but not required
Other Skills and Abilities
· Well-rounded Banking knowledge
· Proven customer service skills – drive and self-motivation as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills and emotional intelligence
· Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.)
· Computer proficiency: Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
